Maputo Bound

It’s 5:42am, time to get going. For the next several days I’ll be on my grizzly, 5-leg,  journey to Maputo, Mozambique. Stops will be made in Montreal, London, Doha and Johannesburg. Prolonged stops will be made in London and Johannesburg. In London I’ll zip into the City of London for a quick coffee or fish n’ chips (yuck!) with my good friend Victor at or close to his office. I will be in Jo’burg for  24 long hours, will be staying at the only black owned hotel in South Africa, am planning on going on a tour of Soweto, and will try to check out some of the Confederations Cup action. Check back for updates from each location.

Here are some visuals of the terrestrial locations that I will be frequenting over the next three days.

That’s a beast of a trip out there. British Air just posted a ticket from SFO to Maputo direct for $500. Bummer.
