Today is officially my penultimate Sunday in Mozambique and probably the last Sunday that I will be fully functional (we’re planning a going away party next Saturday that’s going to be similar to the ball drop in Times Square in 1999). I woke up in Maputo with the intention of heading back into the bush, to Bela-Vista, for my final week of work. This involved a ferry ride from Maputo to Catembe followed by an hour and a half ride in the back of a pick up truck to Bela-Vista. Between the ferry ride and the pick up truck ride I stopped at O Retiro Catembe for breakfast. The food was so-so, but the view was amazing.
